Meet the Team



Boxing has always been a passion of Marty's. For over 30 years, the fight game has provided Marty with the opportunities to fight competitively and work out with and around 12 champions from Mike Tyson to Floyd Mayweather Junior. Under the tutelage of Hall of Fame fighter and trainer, Floyd Mayweather Senior, Marty has developed highly regarded teaching skills.


With the understanding that not everyone wants to be heavyweight champion of the world, Marty teaches "The Sweet Science" to all ages and body types, in a way that is fun and educational, while getting a great workout.

Trainer & Manager

Tyanna or “T” is a former Division I Indoor and Beach Volleyball player at Grand Canyon University and San Jose State University.  While at San Jose State she traveled to Europe and won a bronze medal in the Global Challenge as part of the Mountain West All-Star Team.  She also helped GCU finish the season at 11th in the country.  Tyanna is NASM Certified in Strength Training and Nutrition, and is excited to bring the knowledge she has accumulated being a high-level collegiate athlete to her clients. She offers 1-on-1 training, group training, as well as online programs.

Sammy Jo has a B.S in Health and Human Performance as well ass a B.S. in Psychology.  This pairing creates a strong combination as she is adept at addressing physical and mental parts of her clients' fitness journey.

Along with her educational background she was a collegiate & professional track and field athlete. She competed in the 2021 Olympic Trials in the event Triple Jump and has a specialty enhancing athletes' speed, agility, and jumping capabilities. 

Her Range varies in training clients with special neurological diseases to the most elite level athletes.  She offers 1-on-1 personal training as well as group classes.




Pete is an ex martial artist has been training boxing for 25 years.  He enjoys the process of watching his clients transform feel empowered through his workouts and training.  Pete also specializes in Parkinson's Boxing and helps lead weekly classes. Pete offers group and personal training specializing in boxing.




Charles, a Seattle native, has been boxing for 6 years.

He recently had his debut pro fight and won by TKO.  Charles enjoys teaching the fundamental techniques of boxing to people of all ages. Whether you are new to boxing or experienced in the ring, Charles will push you to find your inner fighter.




Amonte Phillips "Preach", a Seattle, Washington native and pro athlete moved to Arizona in 2017 and has been a part of the 12th Round Fit family ever since. He has experience in training athletes of all ages, and specializes in football, track, and speed work.

 12th Round Fit has been a part of his life for 5 years and it continues to motivate him every day. Preach will push you every day you walk in the gym to help you become the best version of you.



Shasta has been personal training for 11 years.  With a mixed background of MMA, boxing, jiu jitsu and resistance training.  Each workout with Shasta is specific to the individual(s) ranging from kids to middle aged adults.  Shasta's style guides her clients to successful results alongside balance to give clients long term results.





Isaiah is a Scottsdale native and aspiring boxer. Already in his short career, Isaiah has had a number of winning bouts on the amateur circuit here in the Valley. Isaiah comes from an athletic family in which a number of his close relatives competed at the professional level. Isaiah is a natural athlete himself and was a multiple sport star in high school. Isaiah loves to challenge people with athletically demanding workout routines as well as share the core boxing fundamental techniques that he has learned and utilizes in his career.



Kundalini Yoga Instructor

Raquel embarked on her transforamtive journey with Kundalini Yoga in 2019 after a health issue led her to realize the importance of self-care and the need to prioritize her well-being to avoid falling prey to illness. Kundalini Yoga, a technology and yoga of awareness, helped her to delve deeper into her inner self, and began to notice certain patterns that were no longer serving her. 

As she implemented her daily practice, she began to operate from a state of calm and peach which enabled her to see things from different perspectives and speak her truth with more confidence.  Unexpectedly, she began to notice physical changes in her body as she tapped into her internal medicine cabinet through conscious breath. 

Driven by her transformative experience (and now science), Raquel desires to share the peace and optimal state of being with as many humans as ppossible. She believes that Kundalini Yoga is not just a physical practice but a way of life that allows us to access our inner power and potential.
